About Us
The Wood County Arboretum covers 23 acres and includes a walking trail, gazebo, sensory garden, shade garden, a waterwise garden, numerous rose and flower beds, and the historic Stinson House, built in 1869.  Our gardens are open year round and are free to the public.  The Stinson House is open by appointment and can be rented for parties and receptions.  We host events monthly.

Memberships provide critical support to our work. And a membership provides benefits to you as well. You'll receive discounts at both the spring and fall plant sales.  Members also enjoy early buying opportunities at the sales.

We have three levels of annual memberships:  $25 gives you a 5% discount; $50 gives you a 10% discount; and $100 gives you a 20% discount.  Your membership begins the day you join and expires 365 days later.  We will notify you when your membership is close to expiration.

Because we are a nonprofit, your membership fee is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.  And we are proud to say that 100% of your contribution goes to the Arboretum--we are operated 100% by volunteers.

Volunteer/Learning Opportunities

Our volunteers work every Wednesday from 9am to 12 noon.

Regular work at the Arboretum includes weeding, mulching, deadheading, planting, and mowing; making repairs and improvements to the Stinson House; decorating the house and gardens for special events; helping out at plant sales and other events; administrative tasks associated with running the nonprofit; raising money, getting the word out; and just having fun!

Send an e-mail to woodcountyarbo@gmail.com if you would like to join us.
